REVIEW: “House Warm’d” by K.A. Merikan

ABOUT:

— How to make a house a home —

Dan and Kyle have just moved in together, but to make their new place cozy, Dan wants to make friends in the neighborhood. And what better way than to invite the guy next door over? Dan’s dirty minded boyfriend has been mentioning his interest in a threesome and Dan is ready to take the plunge. He’s willing to invite someone new into their bedroom, but it will only be happening on his own terms. Terms that involve handcuffs, duct tape and a fake gun.

REVIEW:

If you’re interested in reading about abduction and rape fantasies, but struggle with the grittiness or lack of consent that often accompanies these stories, House Warm’d might be right up your alley! In this short story, Dan plans a housewarming party for his boyfriend that he – quite literally – won’t be able to refuse. He’s noticed the tattooed guy next door stare at his pretty boy, and instead of getting jealous he gets productive and cooks up a plan. A plan involving said neighbor, the happy couple’s new house and a sudden raid.

The authors (two sisters! Imagine entrusting your funky fantasies to paper with your very own sister; that’s so delightfully wrong)  offer a buffet of fetishes in only 11.000 words. Without giving the plot away, get ready for a dash of gun kink, voyeurism, semi-forced sex etc.. But there’s no mistaking that all the kinkiness sprouts from love and devotion – and a safeword remains firmly in place.

Overall, it was a little too sweet bordering on campy to work for me personally. But although it didn’t pack the punch I’d have liked to remember it by, YOU might enjoy House Warm’d for its dirty juiciness. Also, this book is part 4 of the XXX’d series that follows the sexual adventures of these two MCs, but can be read as a standalone. I’m glad. There was no way I was going to read book 1 in the series: Clown’d! If you hadn’t suspected so already based on the title, that one involves creepy as fuck clowns following the MC in a dark park…and catching him. Now there’s a lot I’m willing to read and review, but I’ll have to draw the line somewhere..so why not at kinky clown sex? If clowns were the highlight of your trips to the circus as a little one though, you might want to consider giving that one a go as well to relive fond memories! :D

I do love this author coupling. They entertained me quite thoroughly with Special Needs and I’m looking forward to their new release in March. Have you checked it out? It’s called Fear and it’s looks like it might just be made for us :D
