“Pimp My Read” (PMR) is the book-of-the-month poll for our blog! Each reviewer on the ‘Boys in our Books’ team will nominate their ONE FAVORITE read of the month (whether reviewed for the blog or not) and plead this book’s case in TEN WORDS OR LESS.
One book will come out on top as the voter favorite…aka that month’s PIMPED READ. :) BUT, what’s even better…everyone who votes and then comments on the PMR thread is entered to win ALL the books nominated by our team! Yes, one winner will get the entire month’s pimped library!
Now, if YOU have a FAVORITE read of the month and it’s not listed here, feel free to NOMINATE your own via the write in option!
So…let’s DO THIS!
(voting open through June 8)
I’m with Sue, Life After Joe is a gritty realistic read!
My favourite read this month was Necropolis!

Pfuuh, my favourite book of May? Tough question because May was a very good book month for me. Maybe I can cheat a bit and name a favourite book and a favourite ff? In honour of your fanfiction week…
book – Fade by Sonny & Ais – Wow, what an end. Now I can’t wait for more.
fanfiction – Azoth by zeitgeistig – Yepp my favourites are Drarrys and that won’t change (I enjoyed Anarchy in the U.K. a lot, so thanks for the recommendation). Azoth is a canon, EWE and … just awesome. If someone is interested: http://archiveofourown.org/works/1049966?view_full_work=true

I love these posts! I find more good books to read. Harper Fox’s “Life after Joe” has been on my to-read list for a while now. Seeing it here again has prompted me to take the plunge, and it now awaits for me on my NOOK.

Tough choice – I love “Life After Joe”, a lot, despite a plot quibble. But I went for “Stories Beneath Our Skin” which had a lovely, realistic feel from a little-known author.

I chose/nominate Stranger on the Shore by Josh Lanyon. I read Life After Joe many years ago and remember enjoying it a lot, I am also anxious to read Hostile Ground. I am not familiar with the other titles.

I voted for Jaime Reese’s “A Hunted Man”. Cam and Hunter’s story ticked all my boxes; taut thriller, hot men, steamy romance, and an extremely satisfying end. I loved the first book in the ‘The Men of Halfway House’ series, and with this second book Jaime Reese has shown the first was not a fluke. Fantastic story, and I’m looking for more, in this series as well as just MORE!
