1. Starting from scratch: Tell us all about you. What do you want us to know?
I live in Colorado. I’m a fan of the Denver Broncos. I love wine, cheese, and coffee. I have one husband, one dog, one cat, and one kid. That pretty much sums it up. J
2. 10 Questions about books:
How did you get interested in gay romance?
I read Lynn Flewelling’s Nightrunner books and immediately wanted more.
Best book you’ve read in the last 3 months?
The Devil in the White City
Best book you’ve written in the last 3 years?
“Release”
What book would you recommend to someone who’s never read your work?
Promises, or Strawberries for Dessert
What book would you recommend to someone who’s never read gay romance?
Of my own? Promises. Or maybe Cinder.
Your favorite character you’ve written?
Can I name two? Angelo, and Dante Pane.
Your favorite character someone else has written?
Mildmay Fox.
What plot bunny has been sitting in your head that you haven’t committed to writing?
There isn’t anything that’s been rattling around for too long (other than things I’ve already started and trunked), other than a third Oestend book.
What’s on the horizon/in the pipeline?
I’m finishing up a contemporary novella called Lost Along the Way. It’ll be published next April by Dreamspinner Press as part of a collaboration with Amber Kell, RJ Scott, Amy Lane, and Mary Calmes. I’ll also have Return (the sequel to Release), and LA Witt and I will be writing a follow-up to Roped In at some point in the near future, where Jackson gets his HEA. After that? I haven’t decided which project will take priority. I have a trunked novel from a couple of years ago that I’d like to finish, another contemporary that may (or may not) end up being set in Coda, and a Christmas novel to write.
What’s the BEST thing about being an author?
Browsing porn on Tumblr actually counts as research. Also, I can justify my shoe fetish.
3. Would You Rather…
…Write a book that sells a ton or a book that generates a ton of discussion?
I suppose that would depend on the type of discussion.
…Have a book with 100 4-star ratings or a book with 50 2-star and 50 5-star ratings?
Probably the 100 4-stars.
…Write fluff or angst?
Fluff, I guess?
…Have a book made into an indie-movie that told the exact story or into a long-running tv show that was only inspired by the story?
The TV show, because the indie movie would only be seen by people who have already read the book. The TV show would have the potential of bringing in new readers, even if it wasn’t a perfect rendition of the characters.
…Have written Twilight or 50 Shades of Gray?
Twilight
4. Two Truths and a Lie…
Tell us 3 things about you…2 of them are true, 1 is false.
I won first place in a nationwide poetry competition when I was a senior in high school.
I took first place in a spelling bee when I was in ninth grade.
I took first place in my division in a martial arts tournament when I was in college.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Marie Sexton lives in Colorado. She’s a fan of just about anything that involves muscular young men piling on top of each other. In particular, she loves the Denver Broncos and enjoys going to the games with her husband. Her imaginary friends often tag along. Marie has one daughter, two cats, and one dog, all of whom seem bent on destroying what remains of her sanity. She loves them anyway.
I’m going to guess the spelling bee. :D Thank you for the post.

I’m going with the spelling bee (as a horrible speller myself who always hopes others exist out there.)
And I love Mildmay – such a great character :) Melusine and The Virtu are one of my all-time favorite series.
I would happily read more of Oestend, should that story ever come together. Thanks for the giveaway.
