…we're keeping our name but expanding our offerings!
Mackey is great at taking a leap of faith into a crowd—but taking one into a relationship and a future is a totally different animal. When he and Trav decide to take a risk that Mackey’s healing can hold up to them together, they know it’s going to be a long, difficult road. Mackey proves he can handle the stress of performing on his own, but when it comes to the demons that broke him in the first place, that’s a whole other song.
The first time Mackey tries to go home, it sends him into a palm-sweating, stomach-heaving anxiety attack, and Trav has to concede that Mackey is still on loan from the things that almost wrecked him when he was still a kid. When news arrives that affects the entire band, Mackey can either go home and face his demons or let them haunt them forever.
I’ve got it. As well as a bad case of infatuation, which isn’t really funny with everything Mackey’s been through. But it’s the truth. I am so far gone. I can’t remember the last time that I immediately went from ‘the end’ straight back to ‘the beginning’. I did with this insane, off-the-hook, mind blowing episode. Once wasn’t enough. And I can’t force myself to leave either. I have a kindle full of boys waiting for me (hmmmm, that’s a nice thought right there) and I don’t want them. It’s strange, but I feel like I would be cheating on Mackey & Trav. Can’t say this has ever happened to me before? The suspense and anticipation is killing me…a slow painful, yet beautiful death. And the promise of more has me begging for it.
This segment was a frenzy of emotions. Pure bliss and pure agony. Burning hot and a salve to the soul. THIS is what I was waiting for.
Mackey might be a lightning bolt; sharp, illuminating and erratic. But Trav is his thunder; following close behind with rattling force. He will destroy anything that threatens his McKay, his biggest challenge is when it’s self-inflicted. Things are going to get worse before they get better. But….
Ain’t no drugs strong enough.
Ain’t no pieces small enough.
Ain’t no past tough enough.
To keep them from each other’s arms.
