"Boys in Our Books"…

…we're keeping our name but expanding our offerings!

REVIEW: “Beneath the Stain Pt 7” by Amy Lane

The one lesson that Trav’s learned with the band’s return to Tyson is that it should be hard to say good-bye.

Mackey, Kell, Jefferson, and Stevie have to say good-bye to the person who helped make them and break them. They have to say good-bye to their bitterness and anger, and they have to say good-bye to lingering hope that one of the best parts of their childhood can be with them always.

But in the last two years they’ve grown a lot—and maybe they’ve grown enough to say good-bye to the past without forgetting it, and to embrace a future that they won’t regret.

It’s over.
*stunned silence*
I can’t believe it’s over. This episode is what it’s all about.
Pure brilliant perfection.
This final part is the epitome of heartbreak & healing. I’ve been consumed by Outbreak Monkey for weeks…the power of a serial of this nature is intense. Or quite possibly it’s just the director of this show is absofreaking amazing. Regardless, it’s been an excruciating love affair and I’m not letting go….I’m never letting go.
It was difficult to focus on any other books during this tour. I was distracted and found myself dreaming of the boys day and night. I haven’t been this starry-eyed over a couple in a long time. Mackey & Trav were as similar as the sun and the moon, but together they were a blinding eclipse.
Totally took my breath away. Their love is rare and exquisite, but I’m afraid not everyone will appreciate their spectacular sparks. That’s okay, because I’d like to hide them away and keep them for my very own. They are so special, I want to protect them and hoard them. Mackey is fierce and ferocious but has such a gentle heart. Trav, his protector faces the reality that some invasions cannot be stopped. Some pains must be felt, but freedom is the light after the storm. Even after the darkest night, the sun comes out.
At this point I can’t reveal much about the plot…it’s game changing stuff now.
BUT…if you’ve been falling for the boys like I did, I promise you…somehow the Queen of Angst does it. She rips your heart to pieces and then stitches it back together with golden thread made of love. It all comes together.
There’s so much I want to tell you…but I can’t.
What I can tell you is-
You will fly and you will fall.
You will scream and you will sigh.
You will hate it and you will f-cking love it.
Questions are answered and secrets are revealed.
And though this journey has been sucking the life out of me, I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I hope Outbreak Monkey goes platinum. Everyone should know and love a piece of Mackey Sanders, but like I said, if not, that leaves more for me…and I’m not complaining.
