"Boys in Our Books"…

…we're keeping our name but expanding our offerings!

PIMP MY READ: NOVEMBER BOM & Giveaway

“Pimp My Read” (PMR) is the book-of-the-month poll for our blog!  Each reviewer on the ‘Boys in our Books’ team will nominate their ONE FAVORITE read of the month (whether reviewed for the blog or not) and plead this book’s case in TEN WORDS OR LESS.

One book will come out on top as the voter favorite…aka that month’s PIMPED READ. :)  BUT, what’s even better…everyone who votes and then comments on the PMR thread is entered to win ALL the books nominated by our team!  Yes, one winner will get the entire month’s pimped library!

Now, if YOU have a FAVORITE read of the month and it’s not listed here, feel free to NOMINATE your own via the write in option!

So…let’s DO THIS!

Had to go with “The Shearing Gun”. Just bought it 5 minutes ago in the ARe 50% rebate sale. Two Steps Back and Think of England are another two amazing books that I have read and The Butterfly King is still on my TBR list. One hell of a selection you’ve got this month and can’t wait to see the final selection, it’s gonna be a really tough one this month.

I went with Hunted because I haven’t read any of these for once and I’m curious about it since Sue already rec’d it to me. Buy I actually want to read these all…

Went with Think of England since I haven’t had a bad KJ Charles read yet. However, gotta say that Ami had the best PMR phrase or her book.

My favorite read this month was The Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen. I read Think of England and loved that too. All this months books are on the tbr list, so fingers crossed :)

I had to go with Fadeout by Joseph Hansen, as he’s a long time favourite writer of gay stories, but Think of England was a very close second.

Even though I loved Think of England, when I got to the bottom of the list and saw Aristotle and Dante down there, well, damn, all the wonderful things about this book just came flooding back. I know this amazing YA won’t win against some strong adult contenders, but I have to go with my heart, the one that was immeasurably changed by that book.
