…we're keeping our name but expanding our offerings!
It’s Christmas in Epiphany, Pennsylvania—the busiest time of year for Mel Halner. But running the family Christmas tree farm has worn down his love for the happiest season of all, and lately Mel’s been wondering what if he’d said yes to a ticket out of town with millionaire Bryce Campion three years ago.
Bryce isn’t used to people saying no to him, and he can’t forget Mel or their brief but sizzling affair. He might not have been offering forever, but Bryce can’t understand a guy as sexy and smart as Mel choosing to stay rooted on the family farm over enjoying the high life with him. He’s determined to make Mel see what he’s missed out on the first chance he gets.
This holiday novella came packed with the three S’s. Sassy, silly and smutty. I loved it!
Okay, I loved it until one scene and then I really really liked it. I know Christmas tree farms are not all ribbons and cocoa. I have friends that own a tree farm. It’s a ton of work. She used to have nightmares about holly!
Melchior (yes, that’s his name) has lost his Christmas spirit. He is being suffocated by fraser firs and white pines. He dutifully took over the family farm after his parent’s tragic accident. He is stuck in a sappy mess of guilt. He desperately wants to leave the dinky town of Epiphany, but feels pressured to continue the family’s legacy.
A few years ago he had a hot fling with Bryce Campion, the owner of a big drilling company in town. On a whim he offered to whisk Mel away. Mel didn’t think the offer was valid and refused. Now Bryce is back and he comes bearing gifts. Gifts Mel might not be able to refuse.
On the first day of Christmas his boyfriend (or wannabe boyfriend) gave to him…two love bites. Wait! That was the second day. The first day was shiny and expensive, but he can’t wear it on his finger. Ohhh, and the man also has a very unique and impressionable way to apologize.
Mel’s best friend is getting married, but the destination wedding takes a quick detour; from an island to a farm, and with only days to pull it off.
As it turns out, this unfortunate turn of events (shady wedding planner ran off with their money) could become his happily-ever-after. Well, it could be.
Mel was an idiot at times, but a lovable idiot.
Bryce was a cocky S.O.B. at times, but somehow he pulled it off with class.
And the family? Hilarious.
Second chances make me happy, especially smokin’ hot second chances.
If you are looking for a sweet (with a good dose of heat) holiday goodie… stop! I just found it.
Happy Holiday’s and Happy reading!
