Boys in our Books Friday Question of the Week!
Each week we’ll ask a question about your reading experience. Our review team will give our answers and we encourage you to join in and comment with your answers as well! Let’s talk about BOOKS! :)
Adrian English…because that last scene on the beach…was not an ending. *grumbles*
Also, Timing by Mary Calmes…just because I can NEVER get enough of Rand.
Oh…and I’m guessing, despite all the ups and downs, and no matter how well Abi Roux ties it all up…I’ll always want another Cut & Run book…Cut & Run #100: Ty and Zane w/ walkers and canes!
I’m always up for more Adrian English, and I hear there may be a sequel to Lanyon’s The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks, which I’m super excited about. Probably the other series I’d love to see more of is Megan Derr’s Dance in the Dark. I enjoyed the short follow-up Ruffskin, but would love to visit more with Johnnie and Grim.
“Immortality is the Suck”. One more book with Adam and Peter, please, please, please!
I am with Ilhem. Immortality is the Suck because Adam and Peter, come on!! I need to know if they are going to have a definite happy ever after!!
Harper Fox’s Tyack & Frayne series: I will NEVER tire of Gideon and Lee (swoon).
Also, Vee Hoffman’s Acclamation series. I’d kill to know how Michael and Dominic are doing these days.
Adrien English is a no-brainer; I’ll always want to know more about Adrien and Jake (here’s all my book money, Josh Lanyon…take it!). Even if it’s a story about the two of them watching paint dry. As long as they get sexy time. Ahem.
I second, third and fifty-five the suggestion of more Adrien and Jake. There is always room for more Jake. Mmmm… Jake…
I will always be curious about Dougie and Mat from The Flesh Cartel by Rachel Haimowitz and Heidi Belleau. I short “Where are they now” deal would be amazing sometime in the future. I would love to know how they are doing; where Mat and Nate’s relationship has gone and simply if Dougie/Doug/Douglas is okay.
And though I know the series isn’t done yet, I don’t see the possibility of me ever getting enough of Nik and Ben (or Radulf) from the More Heat Than the Sun series by John Wiltshire. I don’t care where they go or why, I just want to be carry on luggage to see it all happen.
Oooo!
I would give just about anything for a little more Mackey & Trav from Beneath the Stain. I’m holding my breath that The Men of Halfway House is far from over. I’d love another adventure in the PsyCops world. And I’d give up a pinky toe or shave my head for another decade of Ty & Zane!
Definitely Adrien English. Just one more and I’ll go to my grave a happy man!
I want another in the Bad in Baltimore series, by K A Mitchell, now! Another that I’m awaiting on is Not So Innocent, which follows on from Shattered Glass by Dani Alexander. Good to hear that there may be a sequeal to The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks as I loved the characters in that book and thought it was a good read. Oh, there are just too many to mention..!

Adrien English… I’ve always wanted to see Jake and Adrien living together… (the glimpse we get in The Boy with the Painful Tattoo is great, BTW)

I’m finding this a difficult one – apart from Jake and Adrien like most!!
At the end of most of my high rated reads I want to know more – finished Highfell Grimoire this morning and want to know how Neil & Leofa get on running Highfell Hall, but at the same time having that open ended ending means a readers imagination has to work!

Another book (novel length) in the Kria verse by Megan Derr.

I agree with Sheri: more Mackey & Travis! I also want more Hsin & Boyd (and Emilio) so more ICSO would be fantastic. I’m not ready to let Ty & Zane go either.

Timing! I’m with you, Susan. I keep hoping beyond hope for more… we just need one more book.
I’m also going to have to agree with Sara and The Flesh Cartel. I just want to know how Mat and Dougie are doing. Plus, I kinda want to know what’s up with that horrible ass Nikolai.
Also, Rough Canvas… while the series didn’t end, the rest of it was not about Thomas and Marcus. I will never get enough of those men. That’s a book that will live in my heart forever.

Definitely Adrien English! I would’ve added Romano & Albright but I’m getting my wish on that one later this year. I’m also super excited to see that there might be another Ghost Wore Yellow Socks book. That has always felt like one that should have more.

Adrian English definitely, even if Jake and Adrian showed up for a bit in The Boy with the Painful Tattoo , it just wasn’t enough.
I just read Heart Knot Mine and I also wished there was another chapter if not a short story for it.

Adrien English is of course a must as are Ty & Zane but I’d love to see one more book from Jane Davitt and Alex Snow from their Laying a Ghost series. It was one of the first series I read when I started reading m/m and I’ve always loved John & Nick. They really are quite adorable together.

Thank you, Karen! Next February is the tenth anniversary of Laying a Ghost’s publication and we’re hoping to do something to mark the occasion so there might be some new John and Nick.
